Quaid-E-Azam

I don't recall myself praising Jinnah that much in daily conversation, but I fondly remember making sketches of him during my study time. The minute I had a pencil in my hand and a paper in front of me, the first thing I did was sketch Jinnah spontaneously. Recalling  those moments, my instincts were deeply rooted with him.  Jinnah  appeared as a role model and an inspirational leader while studying history.

In the years followed by many independence days and defence days Jinnah was always in my thoughts.

Living for more than twenty years in Canada has depthened my appreciation for Jinnah. It has broadened my perspective about myself,  my identity and my background.

If it was not for Jinnah to stand strong and tall for his nation who would I be today?

Not only does being a proud Pakistani Canadian give me peace but also an Identity to remind myself of who I am and where I belong.

I thank Pakistan , being my home town, where diversity is celebrated and not curbed. Quaid-e-Azam,  I pray we all continue to lift the dream you had for us. Aameen.
